S.S.R

Today for S.S.R I reed a page in a book called How to be a world explorer. I read about how to remove leeches. These are the instructions.
1. Look for the small end- this is its head. Use your fingernail to loosen it, then flick it away.
2. You can force a leech to let go with salt, alcohol, vinegar or a flame, but this might make it vomit blood and germs into the bite wound. It's probably better to keep flicking or wait until it's full, when it will drop off.
3. Immediately clean the wound with antiseptic- in the jungle even tiny bites can quickly become nasty infections.
